ok so i just got a imate jam and have a few questions that the manual doenst explain.
how can i assign ringers to certain people?
also how can i change my theme or display appearence. i tried to put in a bg image ofmy own, it decreased the brightness though, and i still get the blue default windows menus. is there a program that can do this??
also if i get a gb sd card for mp3s and use my device as an mp3 player also, will it drastically slow the device down??
thanks!!
Hi menappi,
You can use the theme generator from M$ the creates your own backgrounds with full brightness: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/downloads/themegenerator_eula.mspx
Rings can be assigned to each contact, but I belief you need an app like photocontacts or caller_id for it.
I use my magician as mp3 player too & it doesn't slow down my magician that much. I suggest Mortplayer for mp3 & TCPMP for video playback (in combination with PocketDivXEncoder)

Some programs like Excell, WMP, etc are stored in your rom. So you can't delete them & when you delete WMP completely you're not able to play mp3 ringtones.
WMP doesn't play all formats like divx & Mortplayer got a decent equalizer & WMP doesn't, with a decent headphone they're a world apart.
There are some incompatibible SD cards, I got good experience with Kingston & SanDisk. Best is to try before buy if possible.
