New MDA Vario Owner question ?

Hi peeps,

I have just got a T-mobile Vario off ebay, wanted to know where I can get the latest offical t-mobile rom. I do know they removed a certain rom with the push email update. Anyone have the offical one be for that:

my rom ver: 1.6.2.4 WWE
rom date: 11/15/05
radio: 01.12.10
protocol: 4.0.13.23

From details above am I running avery old version, I use to use a Dell axim X30 624mhz. So anything that will speed this little baby up will be cool.

I only got my Vario last week direct from T-Mobile (ordered on the final day of their 25% discount on FlexT and FlexT + WnW) but it's still running the same rom versions as they one you got from eBay. Anyway, I've not updated mine yet so I can't comment on the Push Email thing.

I decided to give this rom a go last night and just before the application sends the rom to the Vario it tells you what version you currently have and what version it will install. That was when I found out it is still only 1.6.2.4 - 15/11 (15th Nov) so basically it is NOT newer than the version I already have on my phone.

I guess the clue was in the filename all along...

RUU_Prodigy_1060204_105_11210_TMO_UK_Ship.exe

Just thought I'd let you know so that you don't waste your time flashing to it and finding out it's what you've already got too :)

before u do anything is a good ideato unlock your phone,then you can install any rom you want.
