Can I change IMEI Number for XDA IIi ?

a question came to my mind. How I can change the IMEI Number for my stolen XDA after been banned from network. The phone found but became useless :(

The new law:
The new law means that:
changing or interfering with a mobile phone handset IMEI number is a CRIMINAL OFFENCE

Possessing, supplying or offering to supply equipment for that purpose is also a CRIMINAL OFFENCE.

The new offences carry a maximum penalty of 5 years' imprisonment, or an unlimited fine, or both.The police will actively enforce this law.


You're in the UK. Best to ask this question quietly, privately, or not at all.

It's not that it cannot be done. It's just that it's a criminal offence to offer the service :(

I don't recommend use any programs or connections by any means to change the IMEI as it a criminal offense by the LAW of U.K

no worries the program called XDAmanipulator dont work on your device
heck it only works on walaby devices with a surden radio stack

Scanning this forum it is hard to know if XDAmanipulator works for XDA IIi or not? Does any one know pls ??

Just out of interest, if the phone was found after being stolen why dont you call the service provider, provide your proof of identity and ask them to release the IMEI from the Blacklist. It takes between 2 and 24hrs to update on the network.

If you own the phone why would you want to change the IMEI.

You raised a very good question for which I am sure there is a perfectly plausable reason... However since this is a technical forum I would not attempt to clutter it with Other issues... Meanwhile if you do have a technical response then I would love to hear it..

Technical question. Whether tool which exists number IMEI permits to alter.
For Wallaby it exists - XDA Manipulator
For Wizard - iWizard.

It does exist for Wallaby ? This is good question.

XDA Manipulator does exist
not sure if it was removed though

it required a serial cable as in subD8 connector cable to the pc
and it supposedly only worked with some radiostacks

but changing the imei is not really legal most places
and unless it's used in some way to sim block a phone the
only reason to change it would be
1 one stole the phone and it was blocked
2 one bougth a stolen phone in which case one can compail or try to get the network to unblock it

if symbian powered cp can be changed then ms maybe yes...

if someone invented it...then what next?

though changing imei is not recommended...obviously some people want it because they stop paying there bills...some stolen.

Just like what charliebrown888 say...call your sp if it is yours...simple!

I monitored this thread because there was no way to get my phone's IMEI registered for use in turkey.

Now, that is since 2007 the law has changed. If you are a foreigner in turkey and have a 2007 entry stamp in your passport then go to Turkcell and they will mobilize your phone. Any foreigner now can take a new phone from outside turkey every year.

I interrogated bad. It walked me whether exists tool for Himalaya.

My question it is not after you IMEI would alter. The programme wants to write to service the diagnose of car in order to he acted on PDA.
Wins over licence on only PDA. You buy my programme > you will give me your IMEI > you will receive working programme on your PDA only.
I do not it want to he was on torrent or donkey for free
If tool exists to change IMEI on Himalaya - my plan died. I have to think differently.
