Anyone using or know of an adapter that doesn't disable the Prophet's internal microphone? I used to be able to use my Jam as a car speakerphone through my car's speakers, but after upgrading to the Jamin, the PocetPCTech adapter I use seems to disable the mic and now I've lost a very useful "feature" of my phone.
Thnx.

How does your 3.5mm adapter looks like. Does it have a 3 sections or 4 sections?
I doubt your previos adapter doesn't disable your mic, as it should do that (e.g. when using a handsfree, it disable your mic and have a mic on the handsfree instead). I think most probably because your (previous - that doesn't disable the mic) adapter has a built in mic. Can you double check on that.

On my previous phone, SPV C500 I could use a normal 2.5mm to 3.5mm stereo adapter to play music through my car stereo and also use as a hands free kit as mentioned above. Talking in a slightly raised voice the caller could hear me using the phones built in mic.
I have noticed on my MDA Compact II that it sometimes works but other times doesn't.
It was a very cheap and simple hands free kit.

Here is a link to a picture of the adapter I am using. It has 3 rings on the adapter, so I guess divides it into 4 sections.

On the Jam, it does not disable the internal mic. How I had the Jam set up before was a cassette tape adapter connected to the adapter, which plugged into my Jam. There was no handsfree mic, so the mic that I was using for phone calls was the internal mic.

Don't know about one that doesn't disable the mic, but this one has a mic:

It is a 4 section one. The 3 sections one looks like http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=43121&highlight=
Does the Jam one looks like the one that you shown above? If that's the case, it is sure that it doesn't have a mic. Probably it is the Jam's short cut of not making the mic disable. . I guess. My suggestion is, get one with a mic then :)
I've got this one, it works (with mic)
