Can malaysia/Singapor O2mini update with UK ROM update?

i want to know weather Singapore/Malaysia O2 mini
can be update with UK O2mini ROM update.

of course can, just make sure you put in the correct ROM. You can go to the ftp for complete ROM available.

i update my friend's O2 XDA II with (Xda_II_172181_Final.exe)
from O2.com.uk website.

and it's really good and working fine with Malaysia/Singapore O2 XDA II
and it's nice new OS.

i also want to know weather that (Xda_II_172181_Final.exe) for O2 XDA II
can be installed on O2 XDA II mini?

only magician rom can be flashed to magician, ba rom for ba only.. etc. but if we flash it using o2 uk rom, we'll lose the content in the extended rom. usually its for operator customization such as mms setting, gprs setting etc.

but u still can always download the extended rom from the ftp and run the customization cab after flashin the rom.

my XDA II is Singapore/Malaysia batch..
but now i upgrade using UK ROM and it's working really fine.

only magician rom can be flashed to magician, ba rom for ba only.. etc. but if we flash it using o2 uk rom, we'll lose the content in the extended rom. usually its for operator customization such as mms setting, gprs setting etc.

in every rom, there's an extended rom which contain cab files that will be installed after hard reset.

usually this extended rom contain customization for the network operator such as mms server setting, server ip, gprs server setting etc.

when you flash using o2 uk rom, everything will work but some features such as mms and gprs need some tweaking or setting.

Unless you do BS ROM and take any files from any Ext ROM you like.

in malaysia , we just contact to phone service provider and they gave instruction on how to setup MMS. GPRS and every service they gave.
