Unfortunately I have to announce that Overclocking your device WILL cause damage to your device.

In my case:

I have a dopod 818 (prophet, XDA). I overclocked the device to 216 MHZ continiously. The overclocking sets on when the device is on while it is in standby it switches back to normal clock (180 MHZ). Here is the deal.
I noticed that if I clock my device back to factory speed (180) or deregister the program omap clock from my system the device makes a ultra high Frequency noise that sounds like an old TV. More like a tinnitus fine beep noise. The noise is continious and very disturbing while making calls or in quite environment. The strange thing about it is that when I overclock the device back to 216 the noise disappears. Now i am VERY suspicious that the overclocking somehow affected the processor that it cannot take 180 default speed without making this noise anymore.
I would just like to warn anyone from overclocking because it might cause this type of annoyance. If you know why this happened and how to fix it, please, feel free to be of aid.

Thank you !
