Sometimes, my phone crashes/freezes when a new message is received.

I can see the message notification and read the first few lines in the preview. The promlem then is that I need to reset it and then the message can't be found.

Any ideas?

By any chance, have yoy removed the "messaging" icon from the today screen ?? If you have, just put it back.

I am not too sure if this solution would work for the Prophet, but it definitely did for my Universal. I was damn crazy with this problem and about to sell my universal when I read about this in one of the forum threads on this site and everything has been just fine since then.

Hope it works for you and kind regards

I have (or HAD?) the same problem. Now it's working perfectly (for the last few days).

Try to use a standard tone for incoming SMS (I'm using "Alert2").

Bye!

I am experiencing the same problem while using the Orange Today Plugin on my Dopod 818 Pro, disabled it and never had the problem.
