Hi Mate,
I have it just for 3 days now :), but I wanted to ask you, how can I lock the keypad when I put it in my pocket to avoid dialing by itself by accident ?

i'm using the regular wi5 lock button at the today screen but there are some programs that allows you to choose a hard button and use it as a lock
but im looking for an autolock:)

Well, since its going into your pocket and you won't need the screen, can't you just hit the power button once to make it go into standby mode. Two benefits, you save battery, and lock the phone (only a press of the power key unlocks it again). In standby, you will still receive phone calls and get email (if its set to poll every XX mnutes, dunno about push email). The only downside to using the power button as a keylock is if you're using the wizard as mp3 player or something becuase standby causes the app to stop.
There's a cab out there that allows you to map the key lock to a button, I forgot what thread its in. I've got keylock mapped to the voice record button (hold). It works well.

Thanks Edyhan, I thought that this Lock is to lock the PPC and give it a password so that nobody can use it without knowing the Password :) well I am very new with this Pocket PCs, I am still figuring out the beauty.
KINetics, thanks for your reply, I know about the Power button, but it can b pushed - accidently - too then your PPC gonna do some jobs while it is in your Pocket, this is why Locking the buttons is the best solution.
But I really don't need any other apps just to lock the keys, as long as there is a Lock already in the WM5.
I wish the Wizard owners answer the main question of the Thread Starter :)

I got the tmo mda the day it was available in the US and I like it a lot more now than when I got it. I can't say my keyboard has come loose but it does seem to close with less than a snap now and then. Still, it seems to work fine, as does the phone, so I'm not concerned.
The custom 2.17 rom available on this site seems to work wonders for battery life. When using the stock tmo rom, battery life was a couple days. With the 2.17 rom, it takes 3 days to hit 50%. Your mileage may vary, of course, but it added a couple extra days for me. I've since gotten a battery that's about twice as large (needs a custom backplate for the phone) and it seems to last forever but I haven't measured the time.
Finally, I agree with the above. I hit the power button before putting it in my pocket and it's never once dialed on it's own. I also discovered the secret of hitting the power button after I call or answer the phone. That prevents random screen frenzy from your face as you talk. :)
I had a Blue Angel phone before the mda and I really liked that phone a lot. It had a larger screen and was much faster but...the mda had WM5 and the BA was 2003SE. Eventually I learned that there's a different "rhythm" to using the mda and once I found it, I stopped overclocking and now I think it's an awesome phone.

For locking the Wizard I normally use a combination of both lock and standby, ty hat way if the power button does get pressed in pocket (which has happened on a couple of occasion) the screen comes on but the pad is still locked.
I've owned mine since January and have been more than happy with it, sure its bigger than my old Orange C500 but it does way more too! only got around to hard reset it the other day to wipe off the T Mobile due to having so much installed on it, tis faster now tho. Overall a great phone, even my stylis still stays in tho it doesn't extend when u pull it out anymore.
