Upgrade ROM and Backup/Restore

Hello All,

Got a question about using a restore options after upgrade to a new ROM im on the 2.17 T-Mobile custom rom now and was thinking about going to the 2.2 T-mobile custom rom. I haave both the sprite and spb backup, both work pretty well, my question is can I upgrade the rom and then restore from lets say sprite back up everything including registry and exluding windows directory, otherways its such a pain to go thru all the tweaks and reinstalls. Has anyone tried this ?

I tried Sprite 5.0 and it did not work. When the restore was completed the system went into a hard reset. So I reinstalled my apps using the method I described on my blog here (http://www.mydigitallife.us/2006/01/rebuilding_your.html).

Yeah I was reading your blog before, but I tought you were using a older version. I got so much stuff already on and so many tweaks, bookmarks etc... I dont know if its worth it with such a small upgrade no major bug fix no major features.....

I agree, if memory is not an issue then it probably makes sense to wait until an AKU 2.2 or better ROM is available.

Xelencin, how long until you can cook up a T-Mobile AKU 2.2 based ROM?
