How to tell EDGE vs. GPRS

I bought my Wizard in Austria and since there are different Versions of the phone around the world I wanted to know how I can tell if my Wizard works on EDGE as well or only on GPRS...

This will show an 'E' icon when there is an edge network available:

HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL\EnableDifferGprsEdgeIcon= 1 (DWORD)

+ soft reset
