would anyone be so kind as to give me a step by step guide in setting up wifi on my xda 2s.
i'm new 2 it all so if u could reccommend some amazing freeware sites/programs ?

Simple. Turn the device on, click on the little icon in the bottom right of the screen that looks like an antenna, check the box to turn it on, and hit OK.
After a little bit, it should pop up a dialog that asks you what network you want to connect to (assuming you're in range of one). All you have to do is select the one you want and hit OK. If it's WEP encrypted, it'll ask you for the key. Then you'll be good to go.
