Fax Soware for the HTC Prophet?

I searched the other WM5 forums for a fax software solution for the Dopod 818pro but there seems no software avail. yet.
Looks like there are some issues with HTC not releasing information as how the modem has to be adressed and also WM5 is different in that regard compared to WM2003 ...

If anybody has a working solution it would be greatly appreciated!

AFAIK, fax transmission is not supported by GSM network itself... Correct me if I wrong!

Should be supported, worked at least with the HTC Wizard and the Nokia 9210i I had before, all on the TD1 GSM network...

AFAIK, fax transmission is not supported by GSM network itself... Correct me if I wrong!
Perhaps not through GPRS or EDGE, I don't know, but it will certainly work through dial-up via a GSM network. You just need a Fax program.

Gruezi, right, not thru GPRS/EDGE/UMTS. We can only hope that German KSE Truefax will eventually come up with a WM5 version of their fax program, which allows PPC to fax thru a connection to another GSM phone (i.e. Nokia 6600). But many providers offer fax-by-email (UMS), a better solution for the Prophet.
