Bluetooth Headset Icon

Any ideas how to get the Headset Icon onto the Today screen display.
When I switch my bluetooth headset on it 99.9% of the time connects no problem but very very rarely it fails to connect, however without opening the phone application there appears to be no way of verifying that it has connected or not, as the headset icon only appears in the phone application.
On the title bar or the bottom bar would be great.............just like it does on my old M2000

It only shows whether BT is active - can't figure out whether the BT headset is connected :cry:
