View Full Version : how to remove bad uninstalls?

i tried to uninstall ms voice command and it partially uninstalled but not all of it was removed. the icon is still there and when i click on it i can adjust the settings, but they dont do anything because part of hte software is uninstalled. how do i clean this up?

I do have this problem with WM% cause in WM2003SE i hadn't experienced it..but there's a solution try MEMMAID to delete the remained shortcuts and registry records of bad uninstalled app.
Also you can have spb PLus to be able to boot the device in safe mode so in that mode you can uninstall any application without any problem

Some programs need uninstall twice.
1 step
standard uninstall
when uninstaler ask:
program not remove completly, do you remove from uninstaller list - answer no
2 step
soft reset
3 step
another standard uninstall
4 step
if needed repeat step 2,3
uninstall completed

By far the easiest way i found to do it was to navigate to Windows > AppMgr folder then remove the folder inside there that matches the program your trying to uninstall. Eg VoiceCommand

as well as going to windows\appmgr you should also navigate to program files if your doing a manual uninstall\delete.
