Hi there,

Since I would like my SD-Card to act as 'My Documents', I've done the reg hack and set the value for key "SDMemory" to "My Documents", renamed the original "\My Documents" folder on root, and soft-reset my device. Fine. But it's not working properly:

1. Whenever I try to sync notes via ActiveSync, it goes wrong and reports problems, that the files cannot be written properly.

2. Opening Word gives me a MsgBox telling me: "Could not create the voice link recording directory." / "Das Verzeichnis für Voice Link konnte nicht erstellt werden." (german device).
The same thing happens when I click on "New" in the notes application (related to point 1).

Has anyone done the trick? I hope so, it's very confusing...

open word, excel, notes. close the startup app so you have the folder view. goto options, and relocate the default save folder to your storage card.

Sorry, but this does not solve this problem :-(
Any other ideas?

It seems there doesn't exist a solution for this problem, I consulted many forums and web pages the last time, but noone has a tweak for this problem!?

undo the hack tweak you made. mine perfectly trfrs word, excel, notes to sd card. the only ones I really need to change are those via email, or file explorer trfrs.

You're right with Word, Excel & Notes. But this doesn't solve the general problem. My intention is to save everything in the "faked" MyDocs folder without doing settings in the specialized apps. You know there are proggies out there you can't tell them where to save their stuff. Moreover your method is unconvenient, because some apps like Word remember their save-to folder not from a REG_SZ value (like Excel), but from a part of a BINARY value (which is long and the folder setting is hidden).
When I set up my device, I make a hard-reset and soft-reset to prevent the ExtROM from installing the provider-apps. After this is done I insert my SD-Card which installs all my basic registry settings and file system settings via CAB/MortScript/AutoRun and batch files. So everything is fine after a new soft-reset except of this problem. I don't really want to set up something manually (hey, this is a computer!).
I really want to have this hack to run smoothly... Any ideas?

Where are all the experts on this forum? It can't be true that this is impossible!?
