Download the Rom:
R46 Rom (http://rapidshare.de/files/22570452/MIO_A701_R46_WWE.rar.html)

1. copy from the rar file the Winceimg.bin into a sd card at least 128MB in size.
2. enter to the UBoot mode in the mio:
press Volume up and Dpad Up (at the same time) then press Reset and keep pressing the keys.
after the green and red lights are out, Let go of the keys and press Dpad Down to enter the Uboot menu.
3. in the uboot menu choose the 0::FlashROM Upgrade
4. insert the SD card you made earlier
5. press the 6: Total img By SD/MMC
6. wait until the upgrade is finished, and you will get back to the UBoot,
7. reset the device, enjoy the new Rom.

Another way to get into the UBOOT menu is
Press Volume Up, and Dpad Down at the same time, then press the reset button while the buttons are pressed, this will get you into the Uboot also.

Nadavi - hey, I made the jump to A701 on your recommendation :)

I've got some issues with it, but it's ok for now. Giving it the Vijay555 treatment, tweaking and hacking.

What's new in the rom? Is it an official release?

mio didnt release it in thier site....
