Gmail messages Question

I setup gmail on my cingular 8125. Do gmail messages count as a text message. I have 1000 text messages...

Are you using a 3rd party app to access gmail? Or are you using pop3? Or are they being forwarded to you from gmails server?

Technically it could count as data depending on how your retrieving the emails

I'm not using a 3rd party app. Its through pop3. I'm not sure if it downloads. I can't check either because they disappear after I view them.
