Yes, it is a bad pixel.. and repair it for yourself isn't really a good idea.. If u haven't messed up with the xda then u can give it to the repairing center: they will fix it..

Well, I say that's better send it to change the screen: even for one pixel.. I personally prefer a device with no faults on it

Ok, let me clear this up a little.
A dead pixel in a LCD display is NOT repairable, and is quite common, espessially in desktop monitors. Generally the manufacturer will have an allowance in the warantee that 10 pixels have to die before its covered. I am unsure how the warantee is covered on a phone.
In short, the only way to have it fixed is to replace the entire LCD module.

As gnif mentoined, it is common for Notebook PC to have 10 or less dead pixels and the warranty cannot do much about it. Hence it is important that, upon buying a notebook (esp before you pay), check your notebook for any dead pixel. You can still run away if you spotted a few :D However, some notebook PC, LCD monitor company sells some of their models with a Zero dead pix guarantee, which then will cover dead pixel.
For your case, basically have a 0.33 dead pixel (e.g. the red layer has a dead - always on, pixel). There are some forum on Notebook PC said there are other means of fixing such problems by 'massaging' the dead pixel, and stress it with all white all black (I think) picture/software. Try google it. HOWEVER, I would suggest you to try (at least try) your warranty first before doing any DIY fixing (heavy/expensive DIY is always a last resort). Some of these PC DIY fixing can be rather.. exotic.. e.g. fixing a dead HDD by placing it into a freezer.

Yeah, i forgot about the massage trick, there is 2 problems with that tho...
1. There is a touchscreen in the way and applying such pressure may damage it.
2. The massage trick generally doesnt fix it permantly, the pixel just eventually fails again.
as hanmin said... try for warranty first.

I've forgotten to mention how many dead pixels are needed to repair those for free  in this case ur warranty can't really do anything... They must have a very good reason to change the entire LCD (that isn't inexpensive) beacuse only 1 of the 76800 pixels that compose the screen is damaged..
