If you had checked the download link on the site to which you are directing people, or read other postings on the topic, you would know that the download link is still, at the time I'm writing this, for the old ROM. Someone jumped the gun at Cingular and HTC will not be posting the ROM until Monday.

If you had checked the download link on the site to which you are directing people, or read other postings on the topic, you would know that the download link is still, at the time I'm writing this, for the old ROM. Someone jumped the gun at Cingular and HTC will not be posting the ROM until Monday.Actually the properties for the download link indicate the new ROM and not the old 1.8. The file is corrupted. End of story.

Well, lookey here. Cingular will offer an update in the near future that, much the same as the Palm Treo700W update, won't wipe out your device! I was hoping they would do this!

It's the NEW rom but the self extracting archive is damaged. Damn!
