I used to have a Qtek 9100 until it fell into a cup of coffee. It was running Mr. Clean's ROM after downgrading then upgrading.
Right now i just bought a new XDA O2 (wizard) and it shows up wtih a 2.24.0001 on boot screen. Is there anyway to upgrade this ROM? I am unable to downgrade, and CID unlock.
Has there been any solutions?

At this point the only know ROM restriction has to do with firmware versions of 2.21 and higher. 2.17 and below should be able to downgrade and use Lokiwiz02b to CID unlock.
If you do have a higher version firmware the only unlock choice at this point is paying the £20/$40 to http://www.imei-check.co.uk and getting the phone SIM and CID unlocked in one shot. Hopefully a free version will be forthcoming in the near future, but until then the only way to CID unlock is to pay.
That said, there are not many devices out there with the *.0001 IPL/SPL. I don't know what would happen if a standard ROM is flashed to one of those devices. General belief on the forums is that it would work, but there is always the possibility of failure as revisions to the bootloader hint at hardware revisions.
Of course to disprove this, all we need is one person to successfully flash a custom ROM to a *.0001 IPL/SPL device, but again, I don't know if that's been done. I haven't personally run across any devices running this version of the bootloader.

Pretty much all of the "bricked" devices on this forum I think have been ones with .0001 IPL/SPL (G4 chip), including mine. I had been discussing in the 2.17 & below downgrade thread that it did not work on my device about a month ago and looking at the "newer" info I would be guessing that the custom rom used in that method did not include a G4 IPL/SPL which is why the device boots up to the flash screen but no further, and then if you loose power, the device no longer turns on, presumably the controls to the power button has changed slightly in the new G4 flash chip and flashing with a rom with only the G3 IPL/SPL stops the power button from working. I can confirm that once I flashed, I could not turn OFF the device either, but I had to take the SIM which meant taking the battery out and the rest is history (or is it brickery?).
