Hi all,
Any steps necessary to move the HTM help files in the \Windows folder to my SD card, other than just moving them? Will I need to hack the registry?
Has anyone tried this before?
Thanks!

Which help files are ya looking to move?

Pretty much all *.htm files that are not in ROM and have application names. Around 500KB worth.

I see. I'm pretty sure that individual apps would be hard coded to look somewhere specific for the related help files, or each app may have the location specified in the registry - which would make for some tedious editing.
You could try installing the apps to your storage card and see if the help files are also installed there. I have seen apps though that despite being installed on a storage card insist on putting config and other files into device storage.

Thanks for your replies! I'll move them, and if any apps complain, then I'll put 'em back on a case-by-case basis. Do you know of any other files that could be safely moved to SD to free some precious space on main storage?
Off topic, are you planning to enhance the new Cingular ROM once they get their act together and release a non-corrupted file?

It depends on what they release. If it really is going to be the 2.25 release that leaked a few weeks back, then I plan to stay as far away from it as I can.
However, I am working in tightening up an AKU 2.3 ROM for Cingular users. I'll be testing out an AKU 2.5 ROM this week as well.
