Please help! Huge problem with sin merged 2.0 (updt: solved)

I've backed up via ActiveSync all my information prior to upgrade to sinmerged2.0 (i had the previous version). But now that i've upgraded (with no problems) I cannot restore my information via activesync! I have a "Device mismatch" error window and telling me my backup file was created for a different type of mobile device!
Any fix to this? Please help!

make sure the device id is the same.
settings -> system tab -> about -> device id.
delete the old partnership but not the data.

only restore contacts calander and other data NOT applications
after a rom update (not sure if thats what ur doing)

Thanks rob. Solves the problem. Funny thing: when i restored my backup information the rom version went back to my previous one (sin merged v1.0) and not 2.0...

when you update the rom its best not to restore. as it over writes some of the newer files from the rom update.

your best reinstalling each app and syncing to get ur data back
