How do I change the phone number format?

Here in Hong Kong, phone numbers are 8 digits and don't have area codes.
But on my Universaal, numbers are showing up as (xxx) xxx-xx instead of xxxx-xxxx. How do I change it?

What if you put nothing into Area Code but put all 8 digits into Number itself?

please i need help in changing the format and to remove the (XXX) in windows 2005, not that i have windows 2005 in a BA and changing the regional setting won't work :(

:) u have to change the regional settings...
try other types of English
for example: English (United Kingdom)
This works perfectly for me in Hong Kong :)
