Keep O2 Rom or Upgrade To New? - O2 XDA mini S

I've been reading over these forums for the past week now, and now that I've finally received my XDA yesterday, I'm ready to start work on it :D.

However, I can't find the answers to the following;

My XDA has an O2-supplied 2.21 ROM version, Qtek seems to be a popular ROM to upgrade to, but is the latest version going to benefit me (speed, stability, battery life, etc) over the 2.21 O2-supplied ROM?

Also, looking over the FTP here, is the latest Qtek version 2.17?

To upgrade or not to upgrade, it is such a personal question....

Nobody is answering because we each have our own reasons for flashing newer (or older Roms). You need to spend more than 5 minutes reading the different threads about the avaliable Roms, find one that sounds like it will fit your needs and have at it (OR NOT).
