I am just upgrading my Exec with this Rom, Had the Dutch one on my unit a few days ago but have been trying them all out for the past few days. I think I will be sticking with this rom for now.
Till I get my new phone in the next few months.
Thanks
I am sure this will be identical to the dutch rom.

Someone allready tested this rom? As I compared the radio version to the 1.11 and to the radio of the latest dutch T-mobile rom I find it to be different.
For the ones who installed this one please let us know your experiences!

Does anyone know which cab puts the battery meter green?

The green meter is integrated into ROM IMO. It's kinda ugly but better in functionality than the one older ROMs have.

Comparisons to Qtek 1.30.77 ?
Performance?
Stability?
Features?
What's lacking? What's new?

Hard to say. I would say that if qtek is working well for you then keep it. It doesn't have anything exciting except for OS Version numbers or the green battery indicator.

How about the Task Manager quick link?

That you can do yourself. It's hardly a ROM specific thing.

quote from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=42913
that is the entire command line format ;>
Create a shortcut with this content:
Code:
24#ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,4,2
That should launch the main control panel applet, with the Task Manager (4), and 2nd tab (2). Works here, but please do let me know if it doesn't wwork for you.
I've attached the file, zipped up. If it doesn't work, try using...
24#ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,1
24#ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,2
24#ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,3
24#ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,4
etc. and see which number pops up the task manager for you. Then just add that ",2" at the end to make it go to the correct tab.

Im installing it now.. but the thing I liked most of all the ROMS was the Cyberon voice commonder in the DOPOD extended ROM. BUt I am having bluetooth issues with the DOPOD rom so thus the upgrade.
Can I install the cvc-ppc-dpd-900-usa.CAB out of the extended DOPOD rom on another ROM? Guess I will find out..

I installed it late last night on my MDA Pro, replacing the imate jasjar image.
It is much faster than the previous rom, and there are several nice touches throughout the system. e.g. A taskbar quick link on the today screen.
The connection seems slightly better and when I answer the phone, it answers immediately as opposed to waiting 4 seconds. Hanging up is also quicker.
IMO it is a big improvement over the prevvious version and worth the effort of upgrading

YES..!
If you download :
Signed_CVC-PPC-AME-Dopod-601062.cab
out of the DOPOD extended ROM On teh ftp, you will get voice commander to be able to digit dial via voice commands. Great little program.
Havent tested anything else.. seems like I have fixed the static issue on my bluetooth, but time will tell.

Does this rom have both AKU2 and A2DP?
Push email is great for when I am back in the UK and the data charges are lower, but currently roaming most of the time so Stereo Bluetooth is more important than Push Email for me.

It has bta2dp.dll so it's a safe bet that it does have A2DP. I can't be sure bout the functionality since I don't have the Headphones :(

I read somewhere that someone had paired their MDA PRO to their PC after the update and wireless stereo was one of the options available to them which allowed stereo sound to be played through their PC speakers, they didn't have the option to do this before the update.

Hi, I hope someone can help.
I have an 02 exec. I tried upgrading to this tmobile rom using the bootloader method detailed in wiki: I extracted the exe and added the MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe file to the folder and ran it. two probs:
1. the screen comparing rom versions came up with blank entries for both versions.
2. it said it was upgrading, but the incremental blue bar did not appear and after 5 seconds it said congratulations, I have successfully completed the upgrade.
I did a soft reset and the I still have my old rom and nothings changed.
I would appreciate some direction from you gurus.
Many thanks in advance.

hmmm you have to extract it twice. First extraction will bring a folder which will have another approx 60MB ROM exe (without the bootloader) and the bootloader files. Extract that exe and then you will see two folder in it, output and universal. Copy all the files from universal to the output folder and also the noid tool and run it. Good luck

Monster: thanks a lot. I run the extracted ROM from TM and this downloaded utility runs perfectly, showing original version and new versions after upgrade. But when go ahead to the process, it shut down the pda and give me a connection error....
Some ideas please?

Beginner, are you following the bootloader upgrade method as detailed in the wiki?
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Detailed%20Instruction%20On%20H ow%20To%20Upgrade%20with%20Bootloader%20method
I would follow ady's instructions and then skip to step 4 in the wiki guide. Make sure the universal is in bootloader mode before runnign the upgrade. Let me know if this helps.

I follow your instructions and the update runs but it is not installing CE software and the pda doesn't work. I had to reinstall again previous version. The real stupid question I have to do is if the version from TM is compatible with my imate jasjar, coming from oficial last version...
