Extended rom does not load after cold reset

The subject says it all. Whenever I perform a cold reset the extended rom does not load. It is filled with the correct cab's, I can see that when I unhide/unlock the EXTROM, but it just won't load. I manually load all the cab's now, but maybe somebody knows a solution to this problem? This goes for an offical release from QTEK.nl as all others. The autorun.exe and config.txt files are present.

is the config.txt filled with the correct cab file listing ?
if you havent edit'd it and the first cab entry in it is a cab you
changed it may skip the rest of them

I have checked the config.txt and it lists only CAB which are present, including TPDisable.exe and TPEnable.exe. So that should not be the problem. Even offical releases don't load properly. I am just afraid it might be a hardware problem, I have dropped it a few times...... :oops:
