Hi
There are some bad spots in my environment and the Wi-fi signal drops and comes back in ~10 second periods.
How can I increase the signal reception quality of the HTC Alpine?
Any home made geeky solutions? :P

Not a lot you can do about that except:-
1/ Move closer to your wireless router
2/ Move your wireless router. I run mine from upstairs room in a conventional 2 storey house. It seemed to improve the reception both inside and outside the house.
3/ You can buy relay stations for wireless routers - they aren't cheap but do help in difficult situations.

many wireless things have signal level adjustments. for example my Micronet wi-fi access point can.
