A week ago my dog ate my Nokia 6820. So I was forced into (but wanting to) get a new phone. I did alot of research and went for the Cingular 8125.

I've had my phone for one week now, and it's the best purchase I've made in a long time. I wanted to post a little something on here since I used the site extensively when researching.

When I first got the phone, I was not quite used to it. I went from the Nokia 6820 to this and have never had a PDA before.

Out of the box the phone was pretty "boring", but over the course of the past week I have installed and tested pretty much everything out there. Needless to say I didn't get much done at work. I may have had to do 5 hard resets, but that's expected when you find a forum like this and can't resist from tricking out your phone with all the latest hacks and tips.

I'm pretty much set now with the way the phone is setup.
Latest Cingular ROM
Pocket Plus
SPB Diary
SPB Weather
TCPMP
Agile Messenger
B Uptime
Eten Dialer
Hitchhiker (Although it sometimes crashes when notifying you when it connects to a hot spot)
Opera
PHM Tray Launch
pRSS Reader
Registry Wizard (Big thanks to the person that wrote that, made applying all the tweaks so much easier)
Total Commander
WiFiFoFum
wmIRC
Smartskey
Overclocked to 240mhz

I have 15.5MB of space left on the main memory after installing all the above apps. Will definitely be picking up a 2GB card soon for tunes and movies.

For a case I ordered the Proporta Book type. It was hard choosing one. Managed to find the site with the 8 review shoot out which made the decision a little easier.

My favorite feature of the phone came today when I was cutting the grass, and was able to stay connected to my wifi. Which meant I was able to tune into my online radio station.

I'm now seriously addicted to this forum, and look forward to testing out more hacks.

Thanks to all the contributors!!!

Awesome. One thing I love about WM5 is how customizable it is. Everybody has their own tastes and WM5 can work around most who understand how to use it.
