So for fun the other day I decided to tether my laptop to my 8125 using the modem link.
I then tested out doing a bit of broadcasting, audio only.
It worked well at 32kbps. Anything more and it kept rebuffering.
I'm not located directly downtown (Detroit), but that is where I will broadcast from. I'm hoping I will be able to get a better upload rate.
I'm curious if anyone can tell me the max upload they have received when tethering and using the modem link.
This is the best I was able to get:
Your download speed : 47 kbps or 5.9 KB/sec.
Your upload speed : 43 kbps or 5.3 KB/sec.
If anyone knows of other ways of broadcasting using other methods please inform me. Would appreciate it.
(FYI I do know about the charges that may occcur from tethering if you do not have a data plan, so no need to discuss that)
