Himilaya "Find Window Fail" resets after splash sc

Hi all,

Hoping you can help me out with the himilaya i've got. I am currently using an xda mini s from uk but am working in kolkata at the moment and have been asked to fix a himilaya for a friend. the details of rom and radio version are below. the splash appears as usual on booting and loads for approx 4 seconds, then displays a small box with heading "Find Window Fail" with an OK button on the same title bar, and an empty box below. After displaying this for less than a second it just restarts and does repeats this process until the cows come home.

I've read through a lot of the posts here and have tried searching but can't find anyone else who's had the same problem.

Should I try reflashing (have never done this before) or will it even be possible?

Any help will be much appreciated. Fred

I've now got the problem that I cannot even load bootloader, i've tried all the suggestions in other posts of leaving the battery out for an hour or more and then trying power, reset and navigation button all at the same time, it is literally dead. not sure how this happened, it was entering bootloader before and i left it overnight, now is totally unresponsive. tried recharging main battery seperately, no luck, when its in the cradle the red light comes on with no battery in it. have also tried formatting buttons (record camera and reset) but still nothing.

is there anything i can do??

still no luck, would taking it apart and taking the backup battery out and back in help?

any advice please

I have the same problem for 4 weeks now, still no luck in entering b/l mode.
Pls advise if you succeed, ok?
