I brought my mda to a fireworks galore up here in Cincinnati OH and I shot some surprisingly nice clips.

I accidently recorded to the main memory because I wanted to record the finale so it ran out of memory but maybe that was a good thing I didn't shoot the last part because I could feel my eardrums from the LOUD bangs going off on the end, I am sure I would have blown the mic on my phone :P

Oh good. Just came back after watching the fireworks show here. The vidoes seem to be pretty decent quality.
