Latest Rom for O2 XDA Exec on O2 Network [Archive]

Hi can anyone tell me which is the latest Rom for the O2 XDA exec on the O2 network?

I upgraded one on my phone y'day and it is the

Rom : 1.30.107
Rom date : 04/11/06
Radio Version : 1.09.00
Protocol Version : 42.42.P8
ExtRom Version : 1.30.162 WWE

Is there any Rom that is newer than this one?

no. but u can always download it from skype's website
only imate ROMs include skype. so, if u r lazy, then, use the "ms_.nbf' of imate ROM :wink:

Hi can anyone tell me a few things

1) i bought the xda executive from O2 so i have their rom and features installed on mine.
2) if i want to use a 3 network card on it can i use it? where can i get the internet setting for the 3 network? and do i have to upgrade the rom to a 3 network or not?
3) if i want to use a vodafone sim card on it then would it be better if i upgraded the rom to a vodafone rom or should i just leave it to the O2 rom?

There is a much recent release of O2 with radio version 1.11.00. I used to see it on the topics here like 2 months ago.

iv the EXEC Iv shipped mine 2 India.....
These ppl ask for an O2 no....so I cant upgrade my exec ???
with the official rom ? :S

the latest ROM from Exec is v1.30.162 ROM
Just follow the link, and you will find the info.

162 is the extended ROM version... pretty meaningless... the OS is 107 as said earlier and that is what counts.

how can I install this ROM ???
I want to upgrade my rom...

But Im not sure what should be upgraded to...

On what can be a safe upgrade in ROM for XDA exec ???

It would be great if I could get the O2 upgrade in the site
but I have no O2 number..which should be provided
any suggestions ??

I have a new Exec and I have the latest ROM version as displayed on the O2 web site. When I install using the Corporate option (code 0506) and the great O2_Exec_Connections_Only CAB. But the camera application seems to be missing (or components of it). Has anyone else found this and is there a solution? Do I have to do a full install and then delete the O2 junk?

Does the camera show up in the other install options?

I didn't even bother with the O2 junk, I just reset the device at the "wait 3 seconds" part so none of the O2 stuff was installed and my camera works fine.

Many thanks for your response. It turns out the ROM image was faulty. So, however many times I re-installed or in whatever configuration, the camera application was missing bits. So, I downloaded the latest ROM image and re-installed. Everything works fine now.

Like you, I avoid the O2 stuff.

Hi Guys,
I have a dump question, can all the Universal devices exchange ROM’s?
Otherworld, can a T-Mobile MDA pro use an O2 ROM or JasJar ROM???

Also what is AKU 3.0 or 2.2???????
I am confused and a little explaining will do…

Judging by the version number you mentioned (v 2.02), you are using a cooked WM6 ROM. I suggest you search or actually look into the WM6 Forum STICKIES.

The version number you mentioned is not an official O2 release, just O2 branded. If you want the official O2 release (WM5), you have to go to the O2 website.

There are Commonly two roms on the o2 Website. They are not easy to find, but most are located in the XDA areas. If you do a Search you will always find the earlier one on the micro Site . The first rom is located on http://www.my-xda.com/xdaexec_soft3rom.html and the latest Rom is at http://www.my-xda.com/xdaExecSoftware.jsp. They are always useful in case a flash goes wrong

That rom, even though is the latest O2 release, is quite old.
T Mobile have produced a WM5 rom version 2.00.41 AKU 3.3 in september of this year.
I have removed all the T Mobile stuff and replaced them with the O2 bits n bobs thus making it a latest version O2 rom.
I have been using it for a month and it has been crash free on my G4 exec.
You may want to try it before flashing the 1.30.162 rom as I find it a lot better.
