Orange SPV M600 (UK) - how to change Phone dial screen?!

Hi
I just got my orange spv m600 (upgrade from spv m500) and I must say it is very good all most on paar with my old p900 (which i still think is the most "one handed on the go" usable pda phone).
Just I noticed the Organe software on the spv m600 for the phone application is qutie bad designed.
Its a dark grey background with black writing?!? who thought of that dear orange?! Its more or less impossible to read easly who you are trying to call.

Is there a way to change this some how in the registry maybe?
(sorry not yet figured out how to make a screenshot)

On this screen, top left, you should see a "wiki.xda-developers.com", click on it.

On the next screen, at the bottom, you will see `Windows Mobile 5`, click on the Wiki Home

On the next screen, at the bottom, `Registry Tweaks`, click on Others

On the next screen, read or search the page for the stuff. It is there.

Next question you will be asking would be, "How do I get into the registry" :)

At this screen, top mid section, there is a `search` link, use it wisely.

I should note as well, it changes the icons used in the call history screen; which are very easy and nice on the eyes (ie a change for the better)

Thanks for that! it did the trick (i got a reg editor installed ;)

If any one else wants to change it, here is how:


Remove operator skin from Phone app

If your device's Phone app is skinned, you can remove by setting:

HKLM\Security\Phone\Skin\Enabled = 0 (DWORD decimal)

Similarly, you can restore it with:

HKLM\Security\Phone\Skin\Enabled = 1 (DWORD decimal)

need to restart the device (or maybe just phone app) i rebooted it.

I really dont get why orange would have done that lol its sooo stupeid oh well. Must say thou the m600 is really a decent phone.
