I've some problems with my Orange SPV M2000 (XDAIIs/Qtek 9090).
Firstly, can someone please let me know what is the correct name for this unit (Wallaby / Himalaya / blue Angel/ Other)?
More importantly, the battery clip on the unit is useless and the battery often falls out (it's now held in with sticky tape and I've bought a new clip in case which helps).
The most important issue is that every time the battery falls out the unit re-boots back to factory default settings, losing all the settings, saved text messages and last calls list (I've got my contacts, calendar & tasks in a SD card). It then does the usual Windows set-up screen (point to the corners & centre followed by the cut and paste). This is even with the internal LiOn barrey fully charged.
It should not re-boot as the phone is provided with a spare battery and the 1st one of these handsets did not do this (before it was damaged and replaced under Orange insurance).
Is this a common fault?
Is there a BIOS upgrade available and what benefits does it offer?
What are useful upgrades to this unit (i've only added KBattery so far)
Thanks for any assistance.
Spec:
Windows Mobile 2003 SE (4.21.1088 , Build 15045.2.6.0)

ROM date 03/10/05
radio 1.06.02
Protocol 1337.38
ExtROM Version 1.40.179.WWE
