I love the form factor, but it's so limiting compared to a Pocket PC Phone.

I was thinking to get one as an additional phone to my TyTN. Sort of for the evenings and weekends.

Yeah, the TyTN hasn't arrived yet, but it looks to be pretty thick and heavy.

I got my TyTN yesterday - compared to the Universal I was lugging arround before - I'm not complaining. And the speed is awesome, even though I've already weighed it down with:

- Agenda Fusion
- Codewallet 2006
- Resco File, FTP, Registry
- Mobipocket
- SPB GPRS Monitor
- SPB Diary
- SPB Backup
- MagicButton
- SBB Timetable
- SOTI PocketController Prof

... just my "standard apps" I really, really need ;-)

After I did the registry tweaks suggested by me in another forum (http://forum.mypocketpc.ch/viewtopic.php?t=11032&highlight=), the thing really went into overdrive

I'm actually very impressed by the speed so far; I had thought all those apps would slow it down a bit. So far, that doesn't seem to be the case, or at least it's not really noticeable.

i'm thinking of getting the XDA Trion flavor of the TyTN ... as a replacement for my XDA Exec (Universal) .... been using the Qtek 8500 (Star Trek) for a couple of weeks and it works fine ... doesn't have the power of the Universal but for Exchange ActiveSync, and going to quick sites for information, it's all good. Logging on to servers and workstations remotely is a drag since you can only use VNC but i can use my laptop to that kind of work until i get a TyTN ...

The Star Trek wasn't designed for full on pocket pc usage ... one thing i noticed is that most of the pocket pc users are more inclinced to use the home user function of the PDA.

The Star Trek is also more of a phone for people who don't need the power of a full PDA but needs the functionality of one with the capacity of Exchange ActiveSync ... which lies the bueaty of all Windows Mobile devices ...
