I did an upgrade for my wizard and yes the CID was unlocked on my phone before going for my second upgrade...

[big edit]
Something went wrong, the updater attempted a second update which succeeded....

I only have these questions:
- Will the phone be working 100% or will I have some hik-ups because of the error I got during upgrading and then re-upgrading it again…?
- Did some of you had an error during an upgrade?

@Dr Puttingham

The topic start was indeed to descriptive, but it was something I needed to get off my chest albeit executed in a very poor way.
My sincerest apologies for that.

Very first time I ever tried to flash the ROM in my 8125 (was up to the latest Cingular release), it errored out on me. Didn't have any problems after doing it again.

Since then, I've CID unlocked and flashed to several different ROM's, right now running one of Summiters ROM's..

@sk0t
Thank you, good to know that future upgrading went without problems.

So far it has. And I've done a weird path of upgrading and downgrading and such.

Started @ 1.8. Upgraded to 2.5. Downgraded back to 1.8 (SPL stayed at 2.25). CID unlocked phone. Upgraded to 2.17. Now running a Summiter 2.3 (I think) ROM w/ the radio from 2.17.

So far so good.. I also keep wiping my extended ROM clean using Summiter's multi-installer. I find it's easier just to get rid of the damn thing. And if I really need something from the extended ROM, I just go nab an extracted one from the FTP.

My sincerest apologies for that.Thank you for the big edits. As for your question, agreeing with sk0t, things should be better. I've felt it necessary to reflash a couple of phones a couple of times before I felt that they took the update. I've rebuilt many phones many times and have have learned to watch the IPL/SPL closely. If you really want to make sure that you're fully unlocked and upgraded, downgrade to the early Button 1.05 and then back to your 2.x watching your IPL /SPL.

Glad you got that off your chest btw, must have been a bitch!

@Dr. Puttingham

Thank you for the extra info, I will do a re-flash in the near future while keeping my eyes on the IPL/SPL. (and thanks for your edit :D )

I also want to downgrade. I now have "Mr. Clean" AKU 2.3 ROM installed. I only have problems with it. So you suggest to go back to 1.05 or 1.08 and then to 2.21?

I have read that this maybe can brick your device. I have a mda vario.

(I already have tried to downgrade to the dutch t-mobile rom 2.21 directly. The setup fails when it restarts my vario, nothing serious. It's already CID unlocked.)
