I just transferred my O2 contract SIM from my Alpine (XDA2i) and the Universal (XDA Exec) is showing "Invalid or missing SIM card".
I don't know what the problem is, it shouldn't matter if the phone is locked or not (I think) as they are both from O2.
What can I do?

The old SIM should work I believe but ask customer service to send you a 3G SIM, which you will want anyway.

It seems to have fixed itself.
I do only have a normal GPRS SIM, not a 3G one - does this mean I can't video call until I get a 3G one?
Thanks.

Well if your SIM is not a 3G one, you won't get UTMS for data nor Video which needs it I believe.

Okay, thanks.
I don't think I'll bother getting a 3G SIM for a while, if the phone will still work with GPRS. I'm in no rush to video call, and another SIM will cost me £10 :(
