I turn on the screen and button lock with the power button before I put the device in my pocket.

However, when I press it again to wake the device it takes around 10 seconds after the screen turns on before the device will respond to anything. This includes pressing the start menu, any of the icons, etc. - not tried the hardware buttons. If I press the start menu before this time is up nothing happens until after the time has elapsed, then my action is carried out.

It also has the same effect when the device falls asleep of its own accord.

Can anyone think why it is taking this long before it responds? I don't have any running programs on it, I've got 25MB program memory free, 9MB storage memory free and a 1GB Corsair 40x SD card, I use SPB Pocketplus, Backup and GPRS monitor but they are just today plugins. I have also done the registry tweak to remap the backlight button. Other than that the device is as it came out of the box.

Anyone?

Small update (posted from my universal :D), I have tried removing the backlight button modification and TCMP media player but neither of these solves my problem. Also, is seems it doesn't happen 100% of the time - moe like 75%.

Very annoying, desperate for a fix.

Edit: I've read on this forum that Resco File Explorer can cause this, but after removing it it doesn't seem to have been the cause as the problem still occurs.

Which icons have you got enabled on your desktop for SPB pocketplus? If you're monitoring your SD card's free space then don't, the SD card gets turned off in sleep mode and needs time to wake up after turning on again.

Hooray!

You're right! I disabled the SD card monitor and it hasn't happened since.

Thanks very much :D
