Bluetooth File Transfers just don't work on my 8125!!

I've tried searching to get an answer but havent come up with anything. My 8125 wont bluetooth transfer or receive files. Active sync works and if I place items in my active sync file transfer folder they go but obex just isnt available for this thing. I also can't send from my phone...it finds devices and my laptop but the bluetooth send fails. Is there any app or tweak to get this to work. Beam setting on this is also sent to receive incoming beams so that isnt the issue either. Any help would be appreciated for this first time poster.

Set HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Obex\IsEnabled = 1 and make sure it's set to receive incoming beams and it should work...

I did that...thats what the tick mark for "receive all incoming beams" does. Still doesnt work though.

Are you sure you have OBEX enabled on your laptop?

Yes because my brother can transfer files back and forth using his RAZR.

Are you using Resco file explorer by chance and are you trying to obex to a Mac?

No im using a brand new IBM thinkpad and using the default file explorer on my 8125.

He's asking you to do a registry tweak. You need a program like Resco that also works as a registry editor.

I already have total commander installed. The registry tweak is done as mentioned in my earlier posts. I guess no one has an answer to this...maybe its just that my phone sucks.

Luckly i could send and RECEIVE files over BT after installing btCrawler and soft reset. Maybe a coincidence, i am not sure at the moment.

I have this same problem. I can send files from my PC to my 8125, but not the other way. Obex is enabled both on the phone and the computer. I'm using summiter's AKU2.3 ROM.
