WiFi will not work

Dear All,
I have a PDA2K with ROM Version 1.40.00 WWE and ExtROM 1.40.176 WWE.
When I try to connect to a network using WiFi the PDA2k connects without any porblems to all networks. But when I try to use WiFi to surf the web with IE or use SkyPe the PDA2k always tries to connect using GPRS. Has anyone got any ideas?

yeah, i have the same problem wifi connects to network fine, with ip, and good signal, but everytime i try to open a web page, i get page cannot be found. ive tried everything, going to back to orignal rom (cingular sx66 rom), changing radio rom to (1.15, 1.13) and also using 1.40 and 1.42 rom also. is my wifi really dead, can anyone help us out??

also, someone mention something about setting operator, if that's the solution, can anyone provide step by step, how on doing that??, i have the cingular sx66 w/o camera

looks like you have the same problem with mine.
At home i've managed to setting a wireless access point using a WIFI router (Linksys WRT54G), the xda's wifi status is connected with the router (as an accesspoint) but everytime tried to opening a webpage, it keep show the error message "the page cannot be found".

is it possible to utilizing the access point scheme above using my O2 Xda IIs?....
does anybody has sucessfull experience with the scheme i've tried to use above?...please share it with us.....
