yes the wizard works with edge. there is a hack to enable an indicator to show if you are connected to edge or gprs, but edge should work regardless. This indicator can be enabled by using RegistryWizard as well.

Is the registry hack just for the indicator ?
As far as the specs shows Wizard only has GPRS built in,how will u enble EDGE ?Or does it automatically work on EDGE also ?

As far as I know from personal experience and This (http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/Phones/Detail.aspx?device=8802ddeb-1ee4-477a-9608-d9cd1e2a903f) T-mobile. com page, it is edge out of the box. I find the indicator quite useful, however (it appears as a small E or G in a box on the top bar near the signal...)

I'm running the latest cingular/summiter rom and it jumps for E to G every now and then. Isn't edge available when your accessible to GPRS?

Yes the wizard is capable of edge speeds and will use it when there is that availability on the network. Not all gprs networks have edge.

Ive got a question on this. I have a wizard with T-mobile and I am in a very covered city. but my T-mobile only says connecting to GPRS... like when i try loading a page, it says connecting to t-mobile GPRS, it never says EDGE. What is up with that. how do i fix it to load up EDGE?

EDGE is nothing but Enhanced GPRS. It is always "over" GPRS. So we always see a GPRS connection being made.
Have a look at
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enhanced_Data_Rates_for_GSM_Evolution
"EDGE (also known as EGPRS) is a superset to GPRS and can function on any network with GPRS deployed on it, provided the carrier implements the necessary upgrades."
As far as the icon is considered, it will be "E" or "G" depending on if the "enhancements implemented" are working at the time or at the transmitters (towers) in the area.

So when it changes from E to G there really is a difference, not just a worthless symbol..
Also how can i test my connection speed on my wizard? I went to dslreports.com and did there wap tests and it told me 3kb/s which i highly doubt is my speed because it loads everything pretty fast.

use the HTML tests, not the WAP... They are much more accurate.
