View Full Version : Accessing the PRI/DDTM/DOTM Radio Settings?

Long story short:

Is there a way to access the PRI ("Product Release Instructions") which are "...a group of settings for the various options inside the CDMA radio (things like the carrier name, default SIDs and NIDs, and slot cycle settings). Every CDMA phone comes with a particular version of these settings pre-installed.", specifically the DDTM/DOTM settings?

Long story long:

On the HTC Apache (ppc-6700) older versions had the ability for a call to come through during an EvDO data session (call interrupt). Apparently, Sprint had HTC change the DDTM/DOTM settings in all Apaches manufactured after April and now this function does not work anymore: data gets priority, call gets bumped to voicemail. People would prefer the 'call interrupt' method but we cannot downgrade the PRI settings.

The solution to our problem might be: "...Either someone needs to write a program (or leak/steal one) that will allow that setting to be accessed directly, or someone needs to figure out how to decode .ppst files...if someone can figure out the format of the defaut.ppst file and create one that keeps DDTM/DOTM at voice only while not screwing up the other components of the file, then you should be able to again have calls interrupt active data."

All of this information and more was from luv2chill (http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/559697-post30.html) and the larger thread on the topic can be found Here (http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/ppc-6700-xv6700/77006-official-evdo-ring-through-hack-does-not-work-6700s-manufactured-after-4-1-06-a.html) if you need more detailed information.

Any help from you guys would be greatly welcomed as we're kind of stuck on the issue at pdaphonehome.com.

(I'm not so much a techincal person in this area, so I'm acting more as a relay of information...)
