Picture contact dialer available now!!! (Freeware)

Hi all,

I'm a auther of PQz & PQzII.
I just uploaded a new software 'QDz' on my web site.

QDz is a simple Picture contact dialer(mailer) like mobile phones.

so, I have not got HTC Hermes yet, but I will buy it as soon as possible.
Please test QDz and let me know if problem.

Suggestions:

1. Russian (or better custom) letters on tabs.
2. Using standard Outlook "save as"/"show as" field for contacts.
3. One-click contact opening.
4. One-click call or sms inside contact.

Question: I've not a "favourite" label under the every contact like on your screenshots. What does this label mean and how turn it on?

See the QDz's menu and select 'Add/Remove Favorite' option.
or You can use Outlook on your PC. Add 'Favorites' category in contact.

Great program! really nice to use...!

A couple of ideas -

1. make the exit button really exit - not open an exit submenu :)
2. make it possible to type names like the MS addressbook - it will be much easier to use.
3. Incorprate a possibility to video call (I have a Universal)

Nice tool... it's odd that the standard contact list does'nt show the pictures by default ;)

One small problem, clicking on the '*' tab shows no contacts at all, instead of a full list of all the contacts like I would expect. It would be nice if the app could show a full list of contacts at once, since I scroll through with the wheel anyway.

OUTSTANING WORK :D :D :D

I really a appreciate small simple apps that do one thing do it right. I especially like the way this works intuitively with the scroll wheel on the TyTN. 8)

2 suggestions:

1: add an option to always show all contacts (remove the tabs)

and

2: make the buttons to select from the categories list big enough to be pressed with your thumb for one-handed operation

With these two additions, this would definitely be my must-use contact app.

And does the *Favorite bit have to be so big on each contact? Perhaps the * by itself would be OK, or nothing at all even?

I think it would be great if you could "tab" left/right to change to the next tab, not the next letter (perhaps an option?)

I don't understand the idea of this program for WM5 since it has the possibillity to select pictures and ringtones individualy in contacts.

Nice work Tom! Its faster than default app. Two suggestions
1. An option to replace default contact app would be good - i.e. map to right softkey.

Those that don't know the reg hack to do this, it is: (on my wizard that is - someone please verify if it is the same on the hermes)

Goto HKCU\software\microsoft\today\keys
Add key '113'
To the key 113
Add New string 'Default' value = 'Qdz' or contacts or whatever U want.
Add New string 'Open' value = '\program files\Qdz_En.exe
(or what ever directory you placed the exe in)
Soft reset

2. Option to make contact size - the square and font (&picture if one present) bigger to make more thumb friendly.

Hi there, I am have one category which has 2800 contacts.
This makes the original contacts application useless as everytime you exit the wm5 contacts application it losses the filters.

Your application is.perfect except for the lack of a typed contact selector which wm5 contacts does have.

I wish there was a GUI way of remapping all contact links to your wonderful application.

Does this software allow a speed dialler on the today screen? There is a post in a thread where someone that has a picture speed dial on the today screen. If anyone can point me into the right direction for this.

This software is just a usual application.

The current version doesnt, but have a look in the wiki's for your phone and you will find the registry keys that you can change that allow you to do this.

It works great on the Tyne!

great app, congrats!

however, I seem to fail to set on my Elf (no numpad) two simple keys to use within a java (esmertec Jbed version) game:
- when pressing volume up I want the numpad 7 to be simulated
- when pressing volume down - the numpad 5

could you give me a hint as to which tab should I make these settings as I just can't seem to get it done.
