Is there a way to turn off just the phone but not gprs?

I will be going back to school soon and I'd like to be able to browse the internet and check email while in school instead of having to turn off the phone part when I get in school, is there a setting that I could change to turn off the phone?

I bet whoever would make a program that could turn off the phone feature, internet or both at a preset time during the day could make a fortune ;)

Are you in high school????...Well you just press the power for less than a sec and it goes into stand by and GPRS will stay on. Hope that is..

Why don't you just set the phone to "silent"? The "phone part" is inseperable from gprs/edge since the latter uses the phone radio to connect.
