microsoft direct push

I´ve modified the reg settings on my prophet for direkt push so my mails get in in 30 sec. but this is eating much battery. can someone explain the regsettings for direct push? Or is blackberry client faster as direct push? And is there an free blackberry email push provider?

Try every 5 minutes instead 8)
