Hey what up guys.. I was wondering can anyone confirm that the TytN has EDGE ready to use? Or is it only EDGE enabled?

I own a DOPDO 838 pro(TytN) and i live in HongKong. I have EDGE on my SIM card. Before using the 838 pro(TyTn) i was using an o2 ATOM. And with the atom when i was getting EDGE reception the "G" Symbol would change from to an "E"

However i notice with my Hermes i dont ever see the "G" change into a "E". The speed seems about 30% faster then normal GPRS though. And when i do a speed test i get results like:

54 Kb/s
36 Kb/s

So can someone confirm if these are EDGE speeds? Does EDGE work on the Hermes?
Thanks!

You could use the Edge Registry Tweak to know if you have Edge Reception.

The edge registry tweak only worked in wizard, doesn't work on tytn.
And yes, the Hermes supports EDGE, you don't have to do anything special.

For more info look at the wiki:

Mine occasionally ran as high as 300kb/s but was generally around 100kb/s.
