How to upgrade Eng Atom exec to CHI ROM ?

I've download the Xda-Atom-Exec-CHT-20060721.exe ROM and want to upgrade from my English ROM 20060721B1WWE. I did the below steps:

1. Copy the file Xda-Atom-Exec-CHT-20060721.exe to PC C:\windows\Temp
2. Turn on ATOM EXEC
3. Connect USB cable from ATOM EXEC to PC
4. Get in to Bootloader by pressing "Capture" + "Reset"
Now Atom exec screen display:

(1)debug module through UART
(2)Jump to DM
Enter your selection:
USB connected, Waiting for download command...

5. From PC run Xda-Atom-Exec-CHT-20060721.exe
6. After twice clicks Next, it pop up ask for "Upgrade", I click "Upgrade".
7. An error message came up as picture showing USB not connected.
8. ATOM EXEC screen showed:
!!! Please use DSUU in OS mode and sync with PC first !!!
Usb Transfer Fail

Did I do anything wrong? Please help. :cry:

Try putting it into bootloader mode before connecting to your pc :wink:

I actually tried both get in bootloader before / after connect USB, it looks same. The problem is USB not connected, but it is fine if connected on normal status, it can syn to PC.

Is it possible to change Country ID of my Atom Exec then update ROM in syn mode instead of use bootloader ?

Did you also try reverting to one of the regular Atom roms and upgrading from there? Someone has done this upgrade. Search a bit in this forum.

my XDA ATOM EXEC have the same problem,but Xda-Atom-Exec-ENG-20060721.exe have any question.

hi there, last time i tried to upgrade, i also got that msg. this is the problem, dont put the atom exec on bootloader. just upgrade ur atom exec at "turn on" position. then start the upgrading.

i got other way that flash to the CHT rom. You can use the ultraedit sofware edit the diskimage.nb0 file. only need edit the first row of this file. ( you can get the diskimage.nb0 fine in the c:\windows\temp after run the DSUU, BTW you can select see the protected and hided file option in th browser). As the changed value. you can refer the diskimge.nb0 filr in the CHTrom DSUU. detail you can refere the thread here: http://www.pxdxa.com/read.php?tid=21205

I was just update ENG Atom Exec to CHT Atom Exec,
use ur UltraEdit, open a file which name is diskimage_Ver.nb0 and u will saw the 1st line will be 07210622 change it to 07210629
then save it. Ha Ha..... you can start ur upgrade now.
diskimage_Ver.nb0 will auto creat in c:\windows\temp\ only after u run the rom update Utility

please tell me where i can download the Atom Exec chinese ROM, i trie the seeo2 website but it won't allow to download the chinese rom because my phone is registered as with english rom...thanks
