cing aku2.3 trouble?

I just upgraded to the cing aku2.3.
I originally had the imate kjam 2.16.9.

Now my device is showing...
rom version:2.16.9.1 wwe
rom date:2/6/06
radio version:02.25.11
protocol version:4.1.13.12
ext rom version:2.25.11.102

Now it appears to me that I really haven't upgraded my rom, while everything else has changed.
What in the world did i do wrong? I simply did the sim unlock and cid unlock and the used the aku 2.3 installer program, and chose the number one selection which included the bootloader.
What am I missing?

Has anyone seen this issue before?
What can I do to resolve the issue?

i encountered the exact same thing, i just switched back to the moslki 2.26 rom, no big deal to me

@ironbear - I'm afraid you never actually upgraded your phone. If those little numbers don't change then it's no go....

Well...
I thought I had unlocked my CID several times before. I got the same message and result as I did when I used Faria's tutorial this last time. And low and behold it WORKED!

I successfully upgraded everything now thanks to that tutorial. I guess starting from scratch in essence did the trick!

i had done the unlock along time ago.. but still my device never upgraded to 2.3... oh well, the molski rom kicks a$$
