Hi
I bought a Vario and it is in Dutch. I called T-mobile and they told me they dont sell the a UK version of the Vario in the Netherlands.
The options they presented me with were
a) give the phone back and demand a refund
b) put the UK qtek ROM on it
I have tried to download the qtek ROM that was mentioned in the following thread - fttp://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?p=247610#247610
with absolutley no success! I have tried all the addresses and none of them work.
Can anyone tell me how/where to get the download?[/list]

I try to answer your question with what I just know (there may be better solutions). First, I suspect that your MDA Vario comes with 2.21.0001 (or 2.x.0001) IPL/SPL. One way to check this is by restarting the device and on the splashscreen you can read it. The main point is the trailing 0001, and that means the device is with G4 chipset.

Now, if it is indeed the case, you can read this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=56088&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=
Basically, you need to have a new (English) ROM without the bootloader part. You can try to do it by yourself by reading the thread or finding an already made one (dunno if it's available).

Good luck!
