And Molski, hope you dont mind ;) if so i will discontinue out of respect

I have spent the last few late nights taking molski's rom and modifying the extended rom to include the cingular settings. Would anyone else be interested in this rom? This does include all the popular reg hacks (wifi 80211g, a2dp, etc)

This is what i have so far...

Removed:
goodlink
expressmail
replaced Moslki splash screen with cingular

Added:
.net compact framework v2
A2dp improvement reg hack (edited with the right reg key)
Molski performance tweeks left in the rom
Omapclock and Omapclockplusv0.0.4

I also added Wififofum, hitchiker, and 1800message.com's phone call recorder and their pmvault program which will back up sms, pics, contacts, call list, etc. But those are all things i wanted and can remove them...

I have been using it for a few days now and it works great

please give me your thoughts and suggestions, if you want it i will post it on the ftp, if not then i will just enjoy it all to myself :D

since then i have been in contact with another person who has started a similiar project with molski.. this other person and i are working on it... hopefully if all goes well we should have something within the next few days.. we will keep you posted!

its not posted yet.. i had my own personal version that might have had some junk people didnt want, i am now working with Dr. P as we speak on this.. as soon as we get the bugs worked out we will post it on the ftp and let you know

we have also removed cingular Xpress mail, Goodlink and some other cingular garbage... But it DOES keep the MEdia Net and My Isp settings, as well as MMS settings

so far its solid!!! well that is for at least the 8125... anyone with a different wizard using cingular wanna give it a go? Im just adding the finishing touch's now... and will test it throughout the night.. Im hoping for a tomorrow release..

Is it going to be possible to remove the programs that you listed? Like the Wififorom one, and others? I have no need for those and don't like having them installed on the phone. besides that I am ver excited about this. Does this also remove the cingular branding?????????

I think that there might be two versions when we're done. shogunmark is doing this one with me "of council", critiquing and rendering some advise. So far it's really looking nice. Once done with this we'll probably create a more basic, streamlined version. Molski created the version I've been running with various requests and it's quite nice. It's been two weeks or so and it's quite stable. I've added my own additional reg tweaks to the DP-Molski Extended ROM and they've been imcorporated into the shogunmark ROM along with other's we've agreed on.

Hang tight as I think that it'll be worth the wait.

I also think 2 versions will be the way to go... one 'bare bones' version that includes just a bare version of windows + registry tweaks (802.11g etc.), and a more complete version with all the goodies (wififofum, omapclock, etc).

I for one am excited!!!!

shiiiiiit... i could have done a basic one days ago :shock: but let me finish this project and i will create a stripped down one with the cingular settings and the basic reg edits... would you all possibly want the new omap clock plus in that as well?

I think the stripped down version with the tweaks would be a great feature!! I hate hard resetting mine and then having to do all the tweaks!

well ill put my 2 cents in just because I am interested in this build.

omapclock is such a small and simple program that probably every wizard owner uses, so I say include it in both releases.

also (and pardon me if this is not possible with our device...) will this ROM (complete version) include a2dp?

Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP)
This is designed to transfer a 2-channel stereo audio stream, like music from an MP3 player, to a headset or car radio. This profile relies on AVDTP and GAVDP. It includes mandatory support for low complexity Sub_Band_Codec (SBC) and supports optionally: MPEG-1,2 Audio, MPEG-2,4 AAC and ATRAC, and is extensible to support manufacturer defined codecs. Bluetake's I-Phono Hi-Fi Sport Headphones are an example of this profile being employed. Most bluetooth stacks implement the SCMS-T copyright protection. In these cases it is not possible to connect the A2DP headphones for high quality audio. E.g. the Motorola HT820 can be used for high quality audio only with certain versions of the Toshiba bluetooth stack.

Is looking good. I think that it could use a little "tweaking" but it's by far the fastest ROM yet for us Cingular folks and seems stable. I'll be happy to put it through it's paces tomorrow but initial indications are that this is better than the original T-Mobile.

My gut feelings are that it'll be available sometime tomorrow (Monday) for public consumption...

hey ive installed ur rom(shoguns) on my wizzard ... and now its all messed up

tha usb port is not working ... its neither charging nor is it connecting to active sync ....
